Closing of RHA Public Housing Waiting List

The Rockingham Housing Authority (RHA) provides affordable public housing and housing assistance programs for low-income families, individuals, seniors, and persons with disabilities. We have 225 public housing units and administer 62 housing choice vouchers that house over 550 residents of the City of Rockingham.

The Rockingham Housing Authority will be closing its public housing waiting list to new applicants effective March 1, 2023. Per our Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy, due to the length of time individuals and families have been on our current list, RHA is in the process of making sure those currently waiting remain eligible and are still interested in being housed with the Rockingham Housing Authority.
