RHA Public Housing Waiting List Will Be Reopening

The Rockingham Housing Authority (RHA) provides affordable public housing and housing assistance programs for low-income families, individuals, seniors, and persons with disabilities. We have 225 public housing units and administer 65 housing choice vouchers that house over 550 residents of the City of Rockingham.

The Rockingham Housing Authority will reopen its public housing waiting list to new applicants at 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at RHA temporary office located at 733 Armstead Street, Rockingham, NC 28379. After this date, applications will be accepted only on the second Wednesday of each month from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 

Applications can be obtained on line by clicking here or be picked up from 733 Armstead Street, Rockingham NC 28379 between the hours of 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM Monday thru Thursday. The office is closed to the public between the hours of 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM Monday thru Thursday and closed to the public on Friday's.
